The Problem We're Solving
Many students who want to take action on sustainability don't have a foundational understanding of what sustainability is or how to lead environmental work in their communities. Passion without knowledge leads to scattered, unsustained efforts. YESEducation closes that gap by giving students the foundational training and tools to act effectively.
Foundation
Chapters that want to extendtheir impact can:
Have every chapter member complete the Sustainability Leadership Training Program (SLTP) certification.
Recruit additional members and encourage them to complete SLTP — building a fully certified chapter.
This foundation alone builds environmental literacy at scale. Most people don't need to be convinced sustainability matters — they need to be shown exactly what to do about it.
Going Further
Chapters that want to extend their impact can:
Design and deliver sustainability lesson plans for younger students at their school or at nearby local schools (elementary or middle schools).
Build their own creative extensions — every chapter is encouraged to innovate. If your chapter develops something new, share it with us so other chapters can learn from your work.
Awareness alone rarely changes behavior — repetition and community accountability do. Pairing consistent online content with real-world touchpoints turns passive followers into people who've actually changed a habit, not just read about one.
