YESHabits
Paving the way for a sustainable future, one habit at a time.
The Problem We're Solving
Most people care about the environment but don't know where to start — and the issues can feel too big to act on individually. Climate change, deforestation, air and water pollution, plastic waste, and poor waste management are often discussed as abstract global crises, disconnected from anything a single person can influence. Without accessible, bite-sized information, most people never learn the small daily habits that actually move the needle, and the knowledge gap keeps otherwise motivated people on the sidelines.
Foundation
Every chapter participating in YESHabits should:
Run an active social presence that shares weekly, digestible content on environmental facts, challenges, and solutions.
Cover the core issue areas — climate change, deforestation, air pollution, water pollution, plastic pollution, and waste management — translating each into specific, actionable behaviors anyone can adopt.
This foundation alone builds environmental literacy at scale. Most people don't need to be convinced sustainability matters — they need to be shown exactly what to do about it.
Going Further
Chapters that want to extend their impact can:
Turn online content into offline action — host habit-challenge events, tabling days, or workshops that walk students through hands-on changes like waste sorting, water conservation, or reducing single-use plastics.
Build their own creative extensions — partnerships with local sustainability orgs, habit-tracking pledge campaigns, or peer-to-peer education series. If your chapter does something new, share it with us so other chapters can learn from your work.
Awareness alone rarely changes behavior — repetition and community accountability do. Pairing consistent online content with real-world touchpoints turns passive followers into people who've actually changed a habit, not just read about one.

Recognition
As we roll out our chapter recognition system, your chapter's participation in YESHabits will count toward your standing. Chapters that complete the foundation — running an active account and covering the core issue areas — will be recognized. Chapters that go further by hosting habit-challenge events or building creative awareness campaigns will earn higher recognition.
