The 2023 Leadership Training Program
This summer, the YESAction community was filled with passion, creativity, and innovation as we introduced multiple series of our Sustainability Leadership Training Program (SLTP). As summer comes to a close and a new school year begins, let us take a moment to reflect on the tremendous success of this program and applaud the upcoming generation of sustainability leaders.
Program Details
Our SLTP was meticulously planned to ensure a holistic learning experience for every participant. Let's delve into the details:

Program Outline
Each day, there will be a lecture followed by discussion on sustainability topics. There may be some assisted reading or videos before or after class as well as discussion posts. Students should focus on being able to join the discussion at their own pace and have fun.
Active Daily Engagement in Assignments and Discussions
Facebook Discussion Groups
Facebook serves as our central hub for various program activities. This encompasses in-class discussions, daily tasks, interactive workshops, and collaborative team exercises. Every day, we present thought-provoking discussion questions to encourage our students to delve deeper into environmental issues, ensuring they fully understand the concepts of the day. Furthermore, daily assignments are posted here, enabling students to both submit their contributions and gain insights from their peers’ work. This platform also provides a vibrant space for participants to interact and foster meaningful connections with fellow learners.
Empowering the Next Generation
During two intensive sessions, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 100 high-school students from various parts of the U.S. These enthusiastic learners explored the concept of sustainability, gaining knowledge, skills, and perspectives that will shape their future leadership roles.
Every student who participated successfully completed the program and earned their coveted SLTP Certificates.
As they enter their school communities this year, we are excited about the positive changes they will bring about. The impact of SLTP extends beyond the summer; it is just the beginning!
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, our hope is that every student who walked with us on this summer journey will become a beacon of sustainable change in their respective communities. We're not just training leaders; we're building a movement. And with the unwavering spirit of our young enthusiasts, the future looks not only sustainable but also inspiring.
