YESACTION (Youths for Environmentally Sustainable Action) is a national youth-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated towards empowering youths to be the change in their community for environmental sustainability.

YESACTION was founded as a call to the global initiative for all people, government, companies, universities, teachers and students, to take whatever action is necessary to ensure Net Zero can be achieved.
Vision Statement
Environmental sustainability is an undeniable global imperative that surpasses boundaries, politics, cultures, and time. We are determined to be the preeminent student platform, fervently seeking groundbreaking solutions from corporations, organizations, and governmental bodies. From carrying out White House Initiatives on Climate Change to the unwavering climate commitments of the United Nations for Carbon Zero, we want to proudly lead the charge towards a sustainable future. Together, we possess boundless potential to bring about transformative change.
Initiatives
The main objective of being a YESAction chapter is to make a meaningful impact at the local level. Chapters are expected to show leadership in implementing YESAction initiatives in their schools and communities that promote sustainability. These initiatives can include activities such as learning about sustainability, educating others, conserving energy, testing water quality, fundraising, outreach, and more.
YESWater
Free and affordable public water fountains are available in our schools, yet many people still prefer bottled water. YESWater aims to understand this reliance, and we are determined to change habits by promoting the use of fountain water. Our approach includes awareness campaigns, water quality testing, fountain upgrades, and more.
YESEducation
Before advocacy and change, people need to first understand the situation. YESEducation aims to guide all members of YESAction chapters, including those familiar with Environmental Science, on the path of sustainability. The goal is to nurture student ambassadors who are empowered to share their newfound wisdom on sustainability within their communities.
YESHabits
Sustainability, though noble in intent, can often feel overwhelming to start. We want to take away all the barriers that people may have in making green decisions. That's where YESHabits comes in: our guiding beacon leading you towards attainable sustainable practices. Through social media buzz and on-the-ground campaigns, our goal is to highlight simple, everyday green actions. By taking small steps, we can make a big difference!
YESHorticulture
Choosing local produce isn't just about reducing your carbon footprint—it's also about cost-efficiency and relishing the experience! Delving into the world of community gardens, whether at school or in your neighborhood, offers valuable insights into agriculture. At YESHorticulture, we're dedicated to cultivating food with streamlined resources—less soil, water, and upkeep. Not only does this approach serve as a solution to the nation's food deserts, but it also ensures you enjoy fresh, healthful produce, right at your fingertips.
YESCooking
Rekindle the joy of home cooking: a path to health, savings, and sustainability. So many students are entering college and the adult world without having the basic skills of preparing and cooking their own food. By avoiding the excesses of restaurant meals, you are taking care of your body, your wallet, and the Earth. YESCooking enhances this journey by guiding students in creating affordable, quick, and nutritious dishes.
Initiatives are designed to be both feasible and adaptable. Each initiative is created to address one of the many problems related to environmental sustainability, based on our observations and learnings. Through these initiatives, your chapter of YESAction will play a crucial role in advancing towards a more environmentally conscious and sustainable future. The YESAction Chapter at Alcuin Montessori School joined a local fall festival in Dallas, offering fun games and prizes. They passionately shared the importance of environmental sustainability with the kids. Hoping to inspire the next generation!

The YESAction Chapter at Millennium High School partnered with the Millennium Key Club to host a car wash fundraiser, raising $106. Members not only contributed by designing posters but also volunteered their time in the morning to assist with the car wash. Well done to our dedicated members!
